To add on to what Randy said, vaccines have been required for attendance at schools for a very long time. Hence we do not have millions dying and disabled from Polio, Mumps, Measles and Rubella. Sometimes you just have to conform or die.

Those all went through a lengthy and thorough process for safety and were a different technology. That can't be said for this for this vaccine. It's apples to oranges.

But those vaccines actually work, and the viruses they work against don't mutate like the corona viruses. The corona virus vaccine is marginally effective, partly because the corona virus does mutate so easily. That's why the seasonal flu vaccine is very ineffective. It's very likely that the present corona virus vaccination will be even less effective in the future. But do you think the government will acknowledge this fact, and cease mandating the vaccine? If you believe that I've got some beachfront property in Arizona I want to sell you.

Geeze, I bitched about the politics thread being a corona thread, and here I am contributing to the delinquency of a thread.

Even Fox News is requiring employees to get vaccinated.
Rupert Murdoch was one of the first people on the planet to get the COVID vaccine.
If the COVID vaccine was that dangerous, they would have given it to the poor people before the owner of Fox News.
Process of vaccine development is the same, just the time frame is different and technology of testing is much more advanced (than the 1950-60's) which allow shorter time frame to complete the vaccine. Even your cell phone from 10 years ago are near obsolete, why wouldn't technology advance for medical applications?

    BTW:
An Ohio COVID-19 patient whose wife sued a hospital in an effort to get her husband treated with ivermectin has died. Jeffrey Smith, 51, died in the intensive care unit on Sept. 25, months after being hospitalized and placed on a ventilator. His wife, Julie Smith, had sued West Chester Hospital for refusing to treat her husband with the drug, which is primarily used to control parasites and is not proven to be an effective COVID treatment. While Smith initially won the lawsuit, an Ohio judge later reversed that ruling, saying that he couldn’t require the hospital to offer it as a treatment. “After considering all of the evidence presented in this case, there can be no doubt that the medical and scientific communities do not support the use of ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19,” the judge wrote.

It's not apples to oranges. We have come a very long way on how fast we can develop vaccines along with thousands of other medical advances. Back in about 1961 they started vaccine development of Mumps, Measles and Rubella. a little over 2years later we had the vaccines for them and about 7 years later they developed a vaccine with all 3 in 1 shot. We have come a long way since then. Until we get some sort of handle on C19 that is mutating very quickly it will continue to cause huge world wide problems. C19 is here to stay just like the Flu. But we don't want to live with C19 in its current rate burning through the earths population. Vaccines is the fastest way to slow the mutations. I do think that this crap was a biological accident from a lab, its way too different than any other virus on the planet. A lot of virologist and archeological virologist are really puzzled by this bug, it's not how nature mutates viruses.......

I am going to suggest an addition to Gators response above.

I believe that scientist did not develop a vaccine for covid in just over a year. Far from that. I think they developed a vaccine for this starting well before covid 19 arrived on the scene. I am going to suggest that these vaccines had their beginning when they first started research of any vaccine and how vaccines work with our bodies. That I believe started well before the development of the vaccines for measles, mumps, chickenpox and so on. A stretch in thinking? Maybe so. But way back then was when the first steps to deal with viruses that invade our bodies. And I may be wrong with this. But isn't covid a strain of the SARS virus? SARS was making its way through out the world back in 2002-3. We thought our lives were coming to an end as we know it back then. We survived that. Even though there were deaths with SARS, it was nothing like what we are experiencing here. I don't even know if that strain of SARS is even around any more. I suspect it is, but it is managed.

Search Peak prosperity on youtube and find his video with world renowned virologist Geert Vanden Bocche. The video questions if the vaccines are a mistake. Sounds like the variants are coming from the vaccinated which is explained in the video.

There were mutations way before vaccines were even available. Post a link to the info, I'd like to take a look.

How about those rising crime statistics and the deafening silence of politicians?

Anyone ever confirm how many of the surge of southern border asylum-seekers were actually let into the US, and where?

Doesn't it seem weird that the justice system is going to have a plan for parents who disagree with school policy/teachings, but the destructive riots last summer are not worth investigating or prosecuting?

What a weird time! So much to discuss beyond just Corona

You think Mark Zuckerberg would care if he lost $6 billion in 6 hours when FB was down?
Would he miss a meal or go hungry? miss a dose of life-saving medicine? get evicted or out on the streets?

The Pandora Papers only confirm what we knew all along for years:
The rich & wealthy "manage" their money in ways the average people couldn't even understand or dream of.
Most people don't even know what it means to have a million to spend.
The wealthy people have politicians in their pockets, to make tax laws or give tax breaks so they can keep avoiding paying their fair share of taxes. Politician divide & distract the population from these tax avoidance by waging wars around the world, racial, political divides, so average folks don't pay attention to the reveals of Pandora Papers.
Who's going to read through the millions of emails & documents to figure out the fixes that's always been in against those who are enslaved or the "have nots"?

£1200 unpaid fines get you in trouble, but millions of taxes avoided makes you an elite wealthy?

Strangely how we don't hear about folks complain about how quickly the development & advancement of treatments & options for prostate cancer.
I guess most legislators are aged, male politicians that can or have developed prostate cancer.
