    Hi All,

Long time rider and have wanted a red, white, and blue VF bike since seeing my first one back in the mid eighties (VF 1000R). I just happened across my new beauty a couple weeks ago in the form of a 2007 VFR 800 Interceptor 25th Aniversary model. She has 25k miles and is all original and in really excellent condition. My maiden voyage was getting her back to my in-laws in wind advisory and rainy conditions over 80 miles on a 40 degree day. 2 weeks later the weather improved for a day and I rode her over the Sierra Nevada mountains from North of Reno to Sacramento with snow everywhere but on the middle of the roads and 35 degrees for 220 miles. So far I love this bike and cannot wait to ride her on a bonafide nice day....lol! I’m looking forward to learning much about the machine from the knowledgeable individuals on this forum.

Welcome aboard, you appear to have picked up a very nice example of the breed. Enjoy the bike.

Welcome and congrats. You will love riding that bike. I did the same thing this year. My wife has an 86 VF500 in the r/w/b, at my disposal. I found a 99 VFR800 in red near by that has been well taken care of. Couldn’t stop riding it until it got cold.
Read the threads on the regulator rectifier replacement. Mine was ok but I did the preemptive change any way.
