I've got a line on a 2007 800 anniversary model. 3rd owner, never crashed (tip over at a gas pump, 1 scratch) 10k miles. Decent 4 yo rubber. Aftermarket exhaust. Been riding for 40 years, looking to add to my garage. Anything I should be looking out for?? Thanks in advance!

10k miles,.....that's what two oil changes?

The things that I would look out for are "lack of use" items. Like rust in the tank, or evidence of a mouse nest in the airbox. Brake fluid that has turned to goo.....
But if it has been stored well, you may have a great opportunity in front of you.

Make sure that you ask for the pillion seat cover, the side cases and mounting hardware, and any other parts that the previous owner has tucked away in the corner of his storage shed/ garage/ basement!

I agree with the above, decent four year old rubber could indicate very little use. Or it could be that they haven’t been on the bike very long at all but we’re a couple of years old when purchased. Make sure you also get the spare key if he still has it, service book, records ect. As a “general” rule VFR’s are very well looked after, how old were the previous owners? Make sure you take it for a decent test ride. The anniversary model is a great looking bike. Good luck.

I am now the prideful owner. Tank is spotless, rode out fine. Turns out the tires are 10 yo, so it's going in to the dealer next week for Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV's, all fluids changed and a thorough look over. I love this thing! It's a nice compliment to my 21 Tracer 9GT (and Grom).
