I introduced myself on the other forum, might as well do the same on this one. I'm a re-entry rider and purchased a 1998 5th gen with 18k original miles one owner. Gorgeous bike, I honestly don't think this thing has seen rain. The pipes are still black, all original, zero mods. I've had it about two weeks. I upgraded the R/R to a FH020AA. The back tire is new, I determined the front is 2011 so I ordered a new one, should be here Monday. I put a Tender on it as well. Starting to go through maintenance items and get it on my schedule. Anyway, I did 2 - 1 hour sessions today after about 20 years out of the saddle. The first hour was a little rough, the second was much better. I live in the middle of nowhere so back country roads. I'll be happy when that front tire is replaced, it was a bit sketchy. No cracks or anything but seems hard. It was great, I missed riding so much. The misses was very good about it all. I know she was worried about me but behaved. She said the second time she wasn't half as worried. Married 27 years.
