I just purchased my first VFR. It is an 02' with 3250 miles on it. Stock w/ honda bags. I have ridden it about 220 miles. I have always ridden more upright bikes my latest was a Honda 919. I must say I am not sure I can ride the VFR for very long. My neck, back, hands are sore. At this point I am discouraged. Already wondering if I made the right choice. I like everything else about the bike. I can't imagine going on a day trip. I have owned 11 cyles and have never had these kinds of soreness issues. Recently took the 919 on a three day trip and had no problems with muscle soreness. Any suggestions ? CIRV

Hi cirv. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the group. You could try soem bar risers, Heli Bars and gen mar risers come to mind, and see it that helps. I have stock bars on my 93 and i have had no problems with day long trips.
