New Throttle Cables for 5th Gen VFR

Hey Everyone,
First post here. I'm working on getting a 98 VFR that has been sitting for the last ten years up and running. I've come across an interesting hurdle. The throttle cables are no longer available for the 5th gen VFR. What are folks doing if they need new cables? I've found a ton of used stuff available, but I don't want to pick a pair of worn out cables as I already have a corroded and worn out set of cables. I was wondering if the 6th gen VFR throttle cables will fit a 5th gen. Has anyone done this? Thanks for the suggestions and advice!

 

I've no idea about interchangeability of other cables. I use the Partzilla website and that will show all bikes that fit a specific part, for the 5G cables there are no alternates. At that point you will need to look to accessory parts, here's one I found easily, but I've no experience with the brand.

Not sure about the slinky glide cables as ive not had a reason to use them but can vouch for Wemoto , a great company to deal with.
