New VFR - First ride

So it happened - I got to pick up my VFR today! OMG I am in love... after lusting after this bike for well over a year to finally ride off on one was extremely satisfying! I've put about 110km on the dial so far, just having a break for lunch and to fit the rear seat cowl and then I'll be off again! The sound is intoxicating, it's so responsive and smooth, and it looks unbelievable. This bike is a head turner - everyone asks about it when I stop.

Some pics for proof! Waiting on a tail tidy from NZCam to turn up, and before long I'll be fitting an exhaust of some kind to really open up it's already nice voice!

2014 or 2015? (not that it makes that much difference)
base or deluxe? (looks like it has ABS)

 

Plated August 2015. In AU we only get one option, I believe it's the equivalent of your deluxe (T/C, ABS, centre stand).

FYI - only the US has standard and deluxe versions, the rest of the world only has one version that's the same as our deluxe.

 

Haven't waxed it yet, too busy riding. Probably won't wax it today either!
It's got Dunlop Sportmax D222F tyres on it.

That's kind of the plan... I go to India for a fortnight next Sunday, want to have enough miles on it before I go that I can have the first service done as soon as I get back.

 

Congrats, it will grow on you, I've put over 6k miles on mine. Check out the DAM muffler, I think it looks the best on our model. You will also want to get a set of Michelin PR4's when those OEM tires wear out! Then you will be even happier.
