I'm sure everyone knows I think NJ sucks. I'm sure most, if not all of you, could care less.

    It just got worse.

The No Talent Ass Clown Senator Menedez actually wants to have the government shanghai peoples tax refunds in order to contribute to bailing out the retards that are in over their heads with the crazy ARM & super stupid mortgages. It's actually being proposed in a bill.

    Am I missing something here?

Last time I checked, it isn't my fault that some fuktard bought more house than they can afford. It isn't my fault people can't manage their money. If this douchebag gets his way, my hard earned money is going to help these retards. It's bad enough my tax dollars go to pay welfare, now THIS?!?!

Words cannot express how much I hate Menedez & this communist hell hole of a state.

I was going to reply with a long hateful reply about the government and the jerkoffs that they bail out that don't deserve it. But I'm to mad that someone with the privelage of being a "voice of the people" that has no concept of how real people feel about issues. The sad thing is alot of the people that run our government have no idea what it is like to be an average person. They just make it harder for us everyday. I don't know about you but I claim single 0 so they take the most out of my pay over the year so I get a good return at the begining of the year and that helps me get cought up on bills and buy things that me and my family need for ourselves not for Joe can'tpaymybills Asshole.

I bet ol senetor assface would still get his tax refund
    sorry for the rant

You can move down here to Davis-Monthan USAF base. That is a good way to show your opinion!

Hey man, I am in NYC and everyone here knows how bad NJ SUCKS!!!! That is a State full of retards and cheap bastards who do not want to pay for anything. People in NJ try to feed off NYC financially, but they are too stupid to realize that they will never make any money because of the cost of commuting and taxes. The irony of the whole thing is there are NYC politicians who also live in NJ so we have our share of retards to go along with the weird and crazy people here. Just goes to show ya - no place is perfect. I guess it is no difference than the government loaning tax money to Chrysler. The Savings and Loan bailout was also paid off with taxpayers money. If they use someone else's money to fix a problem who is to say it will not happen again because people will just say hey someone else will clean this up for me. Gotta love America - it is fulll of greedy people who are actually pretty stupid - and we wonder why people in other countries think we are crazy.

Hey guys if it is any consolation (not likely) but it is not much different up here in Canada. In our case it tends to be Quebec that sucks the country dry. Western Canada habitually gets screwed by the Feds. Even our new Government which primarily came from the west is in the same mode now they are in power. Most of the voting power is in the east and they make sure the western side of the country is under represented and the east especially Quebec is over represented.

Time to shut up before I get really worked up. Screw them, lets all go for a ride and forget the .....

Ahhh...the sound of Socialism...I feel for you brother!

What idoes Socialism sound like? It sounds like the kitchen sink when you let the water out and the 'sucking' sound starts...that sound is the noise of our individual rights swirling down the drain!

Here are some more H.L. Mencken quote to cheer you up!

"It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office".

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard".

    What's your point?

Bruce Springsteen: liberal nimrod with mediocre (at best) talent as a singer
Jack Nicholson: liberal nimrod but phenomenally talented actor
Bruce Willis: doesn't really display many liberal tendencies & is a decent actor
Jon Stewart: liberal nimrod & does anyone really care about Jon Stewart? I didn't think so.

So who cares where these people were born because NON OF THEM still live here. NJ BLOWS & I will say as much as often as I like, thank you very much. Before you ask, I was born & raised here in a little town in Burlington County called Mount Holly. I didn't return by choice, I returned because this is where the KC-10 is. The only other place is KA which is WORSE than NJ. & before this goes any farther, my dislike of NJ is an OPINION. You have yours. I have mine. We can agree to disagree.

Hey Bubba, I like that post, it makes a great deal of sense & pretty much describes me to a "T".

Be glad you don't live in Calif, KC. What makes it worse is that I actually work for the government and have to witness much idiocy up close!

Like Grinder said, time for me to shut up before I get all worked up about crap here again....happy thoughts, vfr, happy thoughts, vfr.

Glad you enjoy, but I figured out early on that we are very like minded.

But as a freedom loving individual...you will have to someday move out of NJ.

I was delivered out of Maryland...and I have never looked back. I thank God anytime I think of that dump of a state. I'll give MD one thing...there were some really good twisty roads their!

    Talk at ya later!

Yo, I understand why you may feel the NJ sucks thing is not good. The thing with me is I think everything and everybody sucks (some a little, some a lot and some all the time). If you live in NJ you know there are a lot of people who crack on NJ all over the country. Even Frank Sinatra who is from Hoboken called Hoboken a giant sewer - he is entitled to his opinion. Hoboken is not a sewer and it is not a bad place - I am entitled to my opinion too ;0) . The only thing I crack on in NJ is the cops, but when I think about it I crack on the cops all over - so I am back to the "Everything and Everybody sucks" thing. Anyway, if you like it there who cares what anyone else thinks. It only means they do not know what they are missing. I live in New York and I have a lot of reason to say it is a great place, but it sucks too when it come to a lot of things. Oh and BTW - I love the NJ Shore!!!!! Great Place and Great Riding - but what is up with those Duke of Hazzard Keensberg Cops - bummer ;0)

I know this is a riding site but great thread.. Your info and insight are a bit frightening to me as I have been waiting for this. I have been a mortgage Loan Officer for almost 5 years and the hysteria regarding this business has reached a fervor that has attracted the politicians to the feeding frenzy. I too Emon remember the S&L crisis although I was young we knew someone involved, and the similarities are too many to ignore.

First: the concept of caveat emptor is dead. Yes, predatory lenders and brokers exist, but many people whom feel they have been wronged could have easily hired a lawyer or even settlement specialist to review the documents and mitigate risk. A couple hundred bucks at most for the biggest transaction of most peoples lives, and most folks are too cheap...ask yourself if you fall there. Did they just say "sign here" "sign here". You have the responsibility to know what the F you just signed period. The phrase "caveat emptor" is from the Roman "let the buyer beware" it came from property sales where the buyer bought land other than which was presented at time of sale. From this came the beginning of title etc...

2nd and last: Our government is actively trying to spread out all risk. Whether is be storms that no one can possible predict or economic consequences that some have profited on, and now once again we are supposed to be the support mechanism to stem collapse. Welcome to a society. That is why it is fluid and swings back and forth.

Rich in Virginia----I love Virginia. Maryland sucks besides the bay. and NJ...well no real point...

Go forth boldly in the direction of your dreams. Live the life the way you have always imagined.

I've been all over this great country of ours. I've been to 45 of the 50 US states. The only ones I haven't been to are Oregon, Montana, N & S Dakota & Wisconsin.

Anywhere that I determine to be a commie, liberal flith hole is out. There goes CA, MD, OR & the Seattle area of WA.

Since I'm a great big sissy about being cold, I want to move to a warmer climate. That rules out anywhere in the Mid West, Great Plains, Great Lakes or North East, too cold & too much snow.

FL is out, too many (no nice way to say this) old people & I really don't care for it too much.

I don't want to live anywhere near the Mexican border since the illegal immigration thing just pisses me right the hell off.

WY is out (my sister & brother in law used to live there & I spent a week there in Dec 2006), there is simply nothing to do there.

I've heard that UT is actually very nice & the Mormons don't really bother you too much. Kinda cold there so maybe, maybe not.

I think I might enjoy CO (many have told me it a very liberal state but I haven't been there enough to determine if that is true) since I love mountains and being out in the country but like to be close enough to larger towns.

Since I would ideally like to live near the Blue Ridge Mountains, that really only leaves the area from VA (my sister & brother in law now live in a town called Lake Monticello) south to GA & west to the Mississippi River. Since I would like to continue in the Aviation field, I would have to live near a larger airport. If I worked at Dulles, I could live in WV or northern VA. If I work at Charlotte Douglas, I could live in NC or SC. Atlanta has a sizeable airport & I really like the Marietta area of GA. I have at least 5 years to go before I can retire & to be quite honest, my future is wide open. If I could pick any job tomorrow, I would like to work for Fed Ex & live in the area between Memphis & Nashville. In the end, it doesn't matter where I WANT to live, it only matters where I can find a job.

So fret not, NJ lovers, you can rest assured I will have a UHaul in the parking lot of my squadron during my retirement ceremony.

    Lastly, I DIDN'T DO IT!!! http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=3036353

I would go with Virginia my friend. Although we are being overrun, as many areas are by immigrants, there is no escaping that any more unless you want to run a compound in Montana.:peace: You just have to drink it in and order an empinada a Dos Equis beer and smile. I've given up on this issue, and have no real beef with the people to begin with just the weakass politicians whom wont enforce our laws, its not the folks fault. If I was eating dirt in El Salvador I'd come here to feed my kids too!

There is a thriving economy here and Dulles, Reagan and BWI are all within 45 min of the Capital. Not to mention some of the countries biggest regional airports one of which is 2 miles from our home. The Leesburg regional Terminal.

Be careful joking about that crash, the thought police will be doing barrel rolls across your front yard:yo:

NC is a nice place to. I lived in Raleigh for 2 years and given the chance I will move back. great weather, you live enough inland from the coast to not get any ocean weather and you have the mountains to the west that block most of the weather from the west. They also have these things called Inclimate weather days where if you get any snow they close the city down and you get the day off with pay! Up here in Maine if you get less than 2 feet and your more than 10 min late you get at least a talking to. Also up north if you ask someone for "sweet tea" they look at you like your purple and ask "what's that?" gotta love the south.

Just a word on the NJ state police.

last year a trooper pulled me over on Interstate 295.
He had clocked me at 95mph. fortunately, I had been in three digits before that.
he read me the riot act for 10 minutes; made me swear never to do this again. And then put his window up, drove off, and left me at the side of the road.
For my money, they walk on water.
needless to say, I make a substantial contribution to the state police fund annually.
truth be told, I have tried to keep my promise. But I'm sure he'll understand now that I have a VFR.

BubbaZ -- I am a former Marylander as well (Fredneck, born and raised, but don't let that get out). Agree totally, MD sucks minus the twisties and the Bay (VaRollOn).

KC-10FE -- NC, man! (Jaymz is all over it) Is there any question? Warm, lots of right-wing gun-toting nuts like me, and DEALS GAP!! Need I say anything else? Oh, yeah, I guess if you are college basketball fans is God's country for you, too.

I owe 5 more years to Uncle Sugar as well. I will retire here in NC or in TN.
MD is out of the question.

Right now, if I could pick ANY town I've ever been to to retire in, it would be Maggie Valley, NC. I've been there 4 times & like it more & more every time I go there. It's small town USA at it's best.

I said Charlotte simply because it is a larger town/small city so employment oppurtunities would most likely be more plentiful. After living in NJ for 3/4 of my life, I straight sick & tired of the hustle & bustle of the land of endless suburbs.

I've said it before & I will say it many more times, NJ BLOWS.

Brother, I'm from Harford County, MD. I spend and have spent a lot of time around Burkittsville, Middletown, and Boonsboro. But I would never live in the State of Maryland ever again. I don't know when you lived there but I will be 35 yrs. old next month and I remember growing up there in the 70's and 80's.
My Dad worked in Baltimore so we spent time at the Inner Harbor but lived in the country. Things have changed drastically (for the worse in my opinion.)
I wonder daily what is happening with our country? Do people just not care about there freedoms? Or is it the fact that the people who know what is happening are to few in number to amount to anything?

    From one Marylander to another,

As if NJ wasn't bad enough, now we have amatuer terrorists trying to blow up Ft Dix. Stupid camel pilots. I'm no expert at planning invasions but I don't think I would ask around at local gun shows for places to buy C4 & Ak-47 by the case. That kind of thing usually sets off alarms.
