Oem air filter compatability vfr800x and 2001 VFR800fi?

    As per the title. my new to me 2001 fi is due a service. I have found an item on a certain site with the code 17210-MCW-D01 advertised, for a Crossrunner, which appears to be the same code as that for my model. It's half the price of what the dealer has just quoted. does anyone have knowledge of their compatability by any chance please?

    Yes they are compatible. Did the same on my VFR 800 FI.
