    Hi All,

Here is a nifty online source for interchangeable parts - aka – a reverse part lookup.

Type in the OEM part number and you can see all the models that the part was used on - super helpful when looking for spare parts on eBay.

Cool resource. Sometimes different part numbers work, too. Part numbers can be changed for a different color, material, or it seems the 'whim' of whoever at Honda parts decides those things.

Recently I came across this situation. ATV carbs use primers for cold weather starting. The primer for a TRX350 and TRX400AT are different numbers and don't supersede to each other, but are EXACTLY the same as near as I can tell and totally interchangable. The significance is the 400AT primer is around 30 bucks less.

Here's another weird one from power products world. EU generators use an electric throttle control motor mounted on the carb to control RPM. You can buy a complete carb with the throttle control motor already mounted for a bit less than buying the throttle control motor alone. Who can figure this out?

I know this is all kinda off topic but my point is sometimes you don't know 'til you check your parts options...or have both parts in your hand to compare.

I see this sort of thing in the automotive repair world quite often.
