If you do a search Oil threads are very popular. I use the Purolator Pure One PL14610 and Rotella Synth oil ($16 for a gallon at Walmart)

I totally agree with Action. I've used the Pure One 14612 and have over 80K miles on my 5th gen. Just got a 6th gen and plan on using the same filter. Never a problem. Always a great fit, and the new coarse coating is really nice. Gotta love a good product at a good price.

I usually go to Advanced Discount Auto Parts ($6.49). Pep Boys has them also but are another .50. Any major parts store that carries the PureOne line should have them.

Advanced Auto Parts has Fram oil filter part number PH6607 for 6th gen VFRs. I have used Fram on all my bikes with no problems whatsoever for the last 30 years. I change oil and filter together every 4,000 miles.
