I was trying to find some info about disconnecting these sensors. My 03 runs very nicely but it does have a bit of that lean drop off in the 4000 to 5000 rpm range while droning.

If you just unplug the sensor harness what happens? I know the FI fault light comes on but is there any other problem?

I plan on getting the Teclusion ?? fuel manager and a K&N filter soon but since I was about to do an oil change I thought I might make the 02 sensor mod also.

The 02 eliminators will do nothing to cure the 4/500 flat spot.
They are designed to dial out the "closed loop" at lower revs (typical 2 to 3000rpm on a constant throttle)
To cure your flat spot, fit a Dyno-Jet PC111 that has a map for your bike (ie mine has a map for Staintunes minus the plugs/K+N/02 eliminators)

    Hope this helps
