I have long since been tired of the red on my 99. I've know and have been planning to paint the bike a white/blue combo. Here is my first attempt and idea. Whatcha think?

I'll be coming up with more and doing a poll as I have time.

Could look pretty classy actually. Just make sure you use the right euro honda blue and not yamaha puke blue.

Hey guys...i'm open to suggestions too. Any ideas for additions? Subtractions? Reverse white/blue?

Keep in mind the standard VFR decals will be going back on, plus the wheels will be powder coated blue or white. The frame, swing arm, triple tree, foot pegs, (basically anything silver from the factory) will be flat black.

    hey there,
how about going the tri color route, with a bit of red thrown in , like the anniversary 6th gen. Have seen on this site someone who did a custom 6th gen retro anniversary paint job and it looked amazing, will try and find it. Good luck though and keep us posted.

Howdy Bweiss; As far as your first attempt goes,to me,at first glance it looks kinda like a
Suzuki GSXR,but then maybe you are a closet Suzuki fan,not that there is anything wrong with that. I like the multi color design that Jimbo sent to you. As for me I always think that a sport bike should show the racing heritage of the company that
manufactured it. And probably most guys would respond , its my bike ,I paid for it and I
will paint it any damm color that I want. Good luck. eddie

Something that screams with visibility but does not induce vomiting at the same time.

I'm likin' red -- either slutty or arrest me, the more red the better!

No really -- The blue and white look cool, maybe a red pinstripe separating the colors??

Is this a single side stripe? (asymmetrical or symmetrical?)

I like the front fender and the tail. The transition from the upper fairing to gas tank needs to be tweaked some IMHO. And maybe how the line changes shape on the gas tanks as it wraps around...not in love with the tapered look since the blue continues on the tail...

What are you doing with the bottom of the side fairing? Grey????? And blacking out the frame? What about the pegs/boot guards? Not blacking those out then? Also, I think the side fairing would need some more blue accents but maybe if you had custom vinyl VFR logos color matched it could take care of balancing that out...

I like the bike Jimbo posted...all I have to say is...I hope you are having all of this professionally done. Nothing worse than stripping good factory paint only to throw on rattle can.

It will be symetrical. The bottom of the lower is grey. Frame will be blacked out along with pegs/boot guards and swingarm and such. The lowere will also have a blue VFR logo (this would all be in there if I was better at photoshop/paint).

Thanks for the comments all. Keep them coming, along with suggestions!
