Hi all, this is my first post here. I just picked up a 1985 VF500 Magna V30 that I am trying to fix up for my son. I would like to get it fixed and ready for his 17th birthday in september. What I am having trouble finding is the factory parts manual/fiches. I have found a few links on here and the web but they seem to be dead or unavailable. Does anybody have this manual or know where I can download it from? I am not looking for a free copy necessarily but one that I can download or get in .pdf format. I keep most of these things on the computer in my shop for reference and it is costly to buy the books cut them and scan them!! Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. Also if anybody knows a good place to buy used or new parts online would also help. Thanks

    Welcome!

The sticky in this 1st gen section has a link to manuals. The Clymer manual for the interceptor 500 is for the magma as well. The Clymer isn't as good as the factory manual but it will help you get buy, especially if you ask questions on good forums. For parts fiche simply google honda motorcycle parts and you will find a number of sites that have online fiches, part numbers and clues about what is still available. Unfortunately, many parts are no longer available for these motors and you only option will be to find used parts in better condition or move on to another bike.

For the parts fische, I use babbittsonline.com as they use OE part numbers, or when I'm looking to actually buy OE parts online, I use bikebandit.com since Babbitt's shipping is horrendous.

I have the Clymer's manual for the 500's (Interceptor and Magna) and as MichaelE has said, it is a bit lacking, and somewhat confusing at times. I don't think I've seen the actual Honda service manual online anywhere.
