Squirrels are cute and all that, but man they tear up our newly planted flowers and such. They bury pecans in the dirt and then forget where they put them.

They are pretty entertaining but being the son of a veterinarian, Dad always told me to steer clear of wild animals.

I give them 4 of 5 stars if only for the entertainment value.

that's my definition of entertainment: 3 squirrels in a tree.

When I was a kid, my brother came home from hunting with 3 baby squirrels that he found on the ground. They were so small, we had to feed them with eye droppers, and they all survived. They lived inside for months and we gave them free reign of the house. They were a riot. They would chase each other around the couch - front to back - going so fast that you got dizzy watching them. As they got older, we started to leave a window open and eventually they all transitioned back to the wild. Even then, they were back in the window waiting for you to open it so that you could feed them. They were definitely great pets.

Residents of a Queens neighborhood are dealing with a squirrely threat.

Denizens of the New York City borough's Rego Park neighborhood say an aggressive squirrel has jumped on them and bitten them in the past several weeks

this is an aberration as most NY park squirrels are super-friendly and used to being fed.
