thanks for highlighting - i haven't logged in in years and get a notification, wondered what was going on.
turns out my PC isn'nt entirely free of malware yet.

    regards,

Hey Gabb - I am sorry to hear your computer has been hacked - it is not a nice feeling.

We would of course be happy to have you join the VFRW forum assuming you own a VFR - so please don't be put off - just tell us a bit about you and your motorbiking background and post up some photos of your VFR.

I believe its malware from a dodgy download somewhere.
    anyways, i've changed my password.

yes, as a matter of fact I still do own a VFR, have had her for 11 years now.
it's a 1999 5th gen, she's my daily driver, has close to 268,000km on her now and still running as as smooth as silk.
she is pretty much bone stock apart from the rear shock, stator and reg/rec.
I have a Hyperpro shock kit and fork springs, a rick's motorsports stator and an SH847AA rectifier modded to fit. the entire main wiring harness was also replaced about 7 years ago, have not have any electrical issues since.

the picture was taken on tour some years ago in up Mae Hong Son, Thailand.

Nice touring screen - if you are not too tall that should make longer runs very tranquil.

Dubious Freeware Downloads are a frequent way to distribute unwelcome payload and effectively use your computing resource to then distribute the same payload to others. If you are running windows then download the latest Microsoft Windows security version/patches and then run the malicious software removal tool. Hopefully that should clear out the unwelcome guests.

    Take care
