I was driving home yesterday after dropping the kid off at college. Had to snap a photo of this one. Somewhere on Rt. 81 outside of Hagerstown, MD. I felt bad for the bike.

Yeah, east coast roads are boring. Especially slabbing I-81. A sport bike deserves a better part of the country, namely the west coast.

Or were you referring to the large tail bag?

Tabernac. What a way to drive a bike into an early grave.

C'mon now fellas. I'm not about shaming anyone here but I think it's cool she's riding with the guy. We come in all sizes. Some dudes prefer their girls a little on the larger side. We've got a few guys on this forum who are pushing close to 3 bills and no one is feeling sorry for their bikes. Just doesn't feel right. Done preaching. And Pliskin, I still think you're a cool dude.

Well said. She is riding with her boyfriend, that is all that really matters. How many of us wished their significant others would participate in our hobby? A big reason they don't is because of how self conscious they will look on the bike. Me personally, I don't go for skrawny chicks, but I don't make fun of them.

This girl doesn't look fat, but that may just be me.

What bother me the most is, from what I can see, is the lack of proper riding gear...That asides, yeah, that's a lot of weight on that bike & that can cause handling problems.

You're right. Maybe I pushed the envelope a bit. But I still say the poor bike. That is a lot of weight for the bike to push. Shit, when I go for a tour, mine has to push a whole lot of weight too. Much of which is my fat ass. WHICH I SHOULD LOOSE! And very slowly I am. Another thread come to think of it.

See all the time at Universal..very very large people...guess you cant discriminate fat people like that but you would think there would be a weight standard just for insurance purposes

Saw that on a t-shirt in the mall. Cracked me up and I wanted to buy it. My wife looked at me like, "Are you serious?" Then I thought about where I'd wear such a shirt and really couldn't come up with any place. Think I'll go get it anyway.

I just saw the other thread which I'll join in a bit. I totally get the conversation being about suspension and handling and all that. It just seemed like things were heading in the direction of "Let's all laugh at the fat girl." I just thought, what if that was one of our VFR brothers with the woman he loves on the back and there were a bunch of us cracking jokes at her expense? Not cool. You're clearly not alone in wanting to lose weight. A lot of us would benefit from hopping on that "exercise bike" a lot more.

While although it's not very polite to make fun of someone's weight it is a fact that way too many people are way too fat. I'm sorry if their feelings get hurt, but for a lot of obese people it's their fault. I work with a couple and they complain about being fat and then proceed to shove copious amounts of food down their gullet. After seeing what they eat for lunch and hearing about what they typically eat for dinner, it's no mystery where the fat comes from. Far too many people blame other things for their various problems when a lot of the time it's their fault. I know there are genetics and diseases that contribute to obesity but I'm sure the majority is hand-mouth disease. If they are happy with themselves, then more power to them. For myself, if I gain 10 pounds I'm disgusted with myself. I just don't understand how someone can be happy with that much weight they're carrying around. Seems exhausting.
