The search to identify a reputable portable touch screen has been challenging, to say the least. I spent a good amount of time researching multiple makes and models and made interesting discoveries. In short, all of these touch screens are made by one (or only a few) company in China. It appears the company (ies) slightly modify the cosmetics and attribute a different name to the product, when the internals are the same. My goal is to find a reputable/quality made touch screen for use with maps and music. So far, I've found models varying in price from 100 USD - 400 USD. In addition, some come with cameras, tire pressure sensors and vehicle proximity sensors. Those models can get as high as 600 USD. The lower-priced models consist of plastic bodies and mounts.
Would love to get some recommendations from forum members on (again) reputable/quality options. Thank you for your time.

Last thing you need on a bike is more distractions.

New to this forum and looking forward to contributing. Having said that, here's a bit of feedback.

Before I joined, I looked at the ratio of views to replies. This forum has a slightly higher ratio than comparable forums. The next thing I look at is the value of replies. Such as, do forum members answer the question.

Would have been nice to receive a response which addressed the inquiry along with the sarcasm. Especially from members who have been here for over 15 years each.

For further clarification, I'm looking for a screen to pair my iPhone to use for directions (navigation system/maps) and occasional music for those multi-day rides. I'm visiting Japan for an extended period of time and still trying to get familiar with the country. As such, getting around is a challenge without a navigation system.

If anyone has questions about Japan and motorcycle, feel free to reach out.

Clarified. It's just that the Venn diagram of your inquiry subject and VFRWorld forum members likely has limited overlap.

As your username perhaps hints that your bike may be a VFR800X (?), you might try an "Adventure" focused forum for your inquiry. They are much more likely to have navigation set-ups with larger screens installed on their bikes.

    And good luck!
