    Greetings folks,

I am about to take a week and a half vacation, but once back from the beach I'll be talking to my dealer about finalising the purchase of a nice new VFR.

Having been on an FJR for a while, this will be a nicer, more compact machine for my daily commute and generally for twisty-road day trips. Not quite as roomy for 2-up touring, but hey - I spend most of my motorcycling hours on shorter rides these days anyway :)

The spec I have pretty much settled-on is:
    • VFR800 in "Darkness Black Metallic"
    • Tank pad
    • Quick shifter
    • Top box 31L
    • Top box inner bag
    • Backrest pad
    • Pannier set
    • Pannier inner band set
    • Pannier inner bag set
    • Hugger
    • Akrapovic Exhaust

I think this should make a nice package and am looking forward to sealing off the deal early in the new-year. Waiting for all the accessories to arrive will probably delay the delivery until late in January, but I prefer to wait and collect a fully built-up package than returning to the dealer.

Looking forward to learning all about this 8th generation machine, and becoming part of this community.

I switched from a 2007 fjr in mid summer .the interceptor (even thought its a 06 and not new version) feels like a 600 sport bike to me ,dives into turns and is like a razor cutting into and out of traffic! I do miss the upper body wind protection of the yammi now and then. but find the Honda much more enjoyable riding as my every day rider. enjoy your summer!!!
