Hi folks, its Ken from Toronto here. I just sold my 84 Nighthawk S that I had ridden for 10 years and I feel like a moto-divorcee right now.

So, for the VFR’s, I’m not a newbie but a pre-newbie. I’ve never ridden one, have never been a passenger on one and have, likely, never even touched one, even at a dealer lot! Still, I'm ready to buy one. Smart move? Ya think?

That's it for now. If you need me … I’ll be in the Classifieds!

We don't judge people's desire for a VFR here... in fact some people might encourage it almost too much. Almost.

Welcome to the site! Good luck on your search for a VFR, there are lots of great ones to be had!

So I bought one without having ridden one! The first ride came after I had transferred it to my name!

It's a 99 Black (originally yellow) with 31,000 km. I bought it off the 2nd owner (since 2001) and it’s in great shape. The TBR Carbon pipe, a Fabbri(?) windshield and a set of Avon tires are the only mods so far. Coming up next is an air filter and the snorkel removal. Then … who knows!

Thanks to everyone for the tips and the welcome notes. I’m here!

    Ken.

ps. I know, I know, it doesn't exist until I've posted a pic but I will, this weekend!

Good choice! I love the sound of those gear driven cams. Welcome to the brotherhood!
