Problem With The PM's

    I am attempting to send a PM or two & get this:

    Any thoughts? I obviously need to post it like this since waiting 3080880049 seconds is kinds stupid. I'm starting to think my computer is cursed.

    If the link doesn't work, it says, "This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between sending private messages. Please try again in 3080880049 seconds."

    I am researching. It's most likely a side effect of a change I recently made to require 60 seconds in between sending a PM. Remember about a week ago when everyone received a PM from a user named Patricia? Spammers are getting more sophisticated, and they have scripts that find a vBulletin board, create an account, and send every user a PM. By turning on the 60 second thing, at least it slows them down.

    I'll let you know when I get to the bottom of it, thanks for the heads up.

    The problem I have is I get an error message that tells me to wait 60 seconds between PM's. That's fine. Problem is, I rarely use the PM's so I can't figure out why it's telling me to wait for 97 years.

    I tried to PM Derstucka about this issue & same error message.

    I apologize for putting this out in the public area but I can't send a PM so I have no choice but to post this here.

    Do you guys have any suggestion as to how I can fix my PM's? I can receive & read PM's but I can't send one. I have no clue what I did but here is a cut & paste of the exact error message:

    "This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between sending private messages. Please try again in 3080610783 seconds."

    That's 97.68 YEARS.

    Due to all my photos, I would prefer to NOT make a new profile.

    I have this problem alot lately ? and not just with PM's i get it with the chat box or it jumps around so much i cant read ant thing ? my laptop is acting like a teenager

    Anyone know of a good SpyWare program?

    I have narrowed it down to my laptop only. My desktop is rarely even turned on but I am able to utilize the PM function using it. I am typing this from my desktop.


    Again, I aplogize for wasting everyone's time.

    Use ad-aware. It was better in editions past, but it still does a pretty alright job.
