    Hello--

I was wondering if the vf500c magna pulse generators will work on a vf500f as mine are cooked (bike runs worse the hotter it gets, and coils are out of spec). I'm looking at buying a pair for a magna and the seller said the normal ohm range is 450-550 ohm (the coils he's selling are around 510ohm).

Seeing as the interceptor coils should be 315-385 ohm, I would imagine the magna coils would not work unless I also had the ignition boxes...

    Thoughts?

Yes and no. These are the part numbers from partzilla, who i mainly use for part lookup:

    1984 magna: 30300-MJ8-000
    1984 interceptor: 30300-KE7-174

    1985 magna: 30300-MJ8-154
    1985 interceptor: 30300-KE7-174

    1986 interceptor: 30300-KE7-174

Partzilla has a listing for 30300-KE7-405, but dont list it under either the magna or interceptor.

IF thats the "universal" replacement, how do I tell the difference between that one and the rest?
