I'm not talking about the turn signals but rather the little position lights or marker lights - not sure what they're called. Anyway, the ones on my USA model are definitely yellow or amber. I've seen a few reviews of this bike in Europe and correct me if I'm wrong but they appear to be white on the Euro models? Has anyone swapped the yellow ones for the white ones?

Also, has anyone found a place to buy the "VFR" emblems that come on the non USA models? I think it might be a tasteful addition to place that VFR emblem somewhere on the bike (while leaving the Interceptor emblem where it is). Alternatively, one of the old school VFR stickers from the prior gens might look good too, but I think I would prefer the shiny VFR logo from overseas.

I'll be watching this, as I agree the 014 VFR emblem is pretty nice IMO but when looking for it on the parts fish I'm not finding it, even in Europe. Be interesting if it shows up.

Can't help you with the marker lights, but I can help with the VFR emblems...
I now have factory 6th gen Euro VFR emblems on my US 8th gen (I removed the interceptor emblem and put the VFR ones there). I like the 6th gen ones better than the more plain looking font of the 8th gen Euro VFR. I got them from a European dealer online.

Here's the link for the ones I got - http://www.cmsnl.com/products/mark-vfrtype1_64220mcwd80za/#.V89roZgrKHs

Here's a couple shots with the VFR emblem...

Compared to the day I bought it...

And a good shot to compare my VFR emblem with a stock white bike...

This is on top of The Grand Mesa in western Colorado....Great trip!

Thanks for the link and pics Dave - that looks very nice! I'm thinking I would keep the Interceptor and add the VFR somewhere below - maybe angled up paralleling the lines of the fairing just below where the stock emblem resides.

Having opened up the mirror pods so that I could swap the halogen indicator bulbs for LED replacements, I can report that the position lights are part of a sealed component that's embedded into the mirror casing and not easily removable. The simplest method to achieve what you want is to buy whole replacement factory mirrors from Europe or Australia.

Your road traffic laws require them to be Amber as they are on all of your vehicles as they are position lights. So it would be illegal to change them.

The Vfr emblem could be purchased in Europe. Try a European online parts store. Moto Honda, cmsnl, fowlers, etc.

Crap, I guess I'll learn to live with the ugly Amber. Oops, I meant to say maybe someone from Europe would like to do an even swap of their ugly white lighted mirrors for my ultra cool avant-garde Amber accented American mirrors? :worked_till_5am:

Thanks I'll do some searching on those sites. As far as the amber v. white position lights I doubt it would be illegal to swap them out - there are tons of new cars running around the USA with nary an amber light to be seen - just tons of white LEDs. Even if it were technically illegal no cop would care in my area.

The Euro ones are white because in a lot of countries this side of the water including here in the UK it's illegal to use amber lights for anything other than turn signals (and incorporated hazard flashers) so the swap would be no good for us either!

Think its only US and Canada that run amber sidelights

So you decided on the 8th gen version instead of the 6th gen?

Yes, right now I'm planning to put them just below the Interceptor badge, angled up from rear to front along the edge of the fairing. I suppose I could also move the Interceptor badge elsewhere and put the VFR badge where the Europeans and Aussies put it - I'll have to play around and see. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Nice as in adding a very classy touch. BTW, Those would look good on a 5th gen ;)
