    I have a 2003 VFR800

I just found that my main fuse is melted, yet it was still operational, but it was running very hot. No doubt this is causing resistance. Resistance will kill my R/R and Stator if it hasn't already......I am investigating. The fuse holder itself isn't melted, but its got plenty of brown on it.....probably not worth continuing using it.

In any case, I obviously need to replace that fuse holder. To be safe, I was thinking of just replacing that harness, which is about $50.00. If I buy a VFRness instead, does it include everything that harness does anyway (battery terminals, ground wire, connection to starter block, etc)?

If the VFRness does NOT replace this fuse holder, then I guess I have to buy both VFRness and battery harness, thoughts? Anyone know?

    Here are some pics:

I am having SERIOUS surging issues, its like my RPM's keep dropping, that's all in another thread. But in response to that I am investigating the electrical system, which is how I happened upon finding this melted fuse.

Yes the VFRness replaces the fuse holder and all the main wires in the charging system.

If I'm not mistaken (can't remember from when I did mine) I think it replaces the 30amp fuse with 2 twenty amp fuses.

Does that mean it has its own positive battery terminal and you don't need the stock one? If I recall the main fuse is directly connected off the positive battery terminal.

    I ordered a VFRness (3 switched, 1 unswitched)
