Where can I find some new fasteners to make it quicker to add / remove the rear seat cowl?

Sargent Cycle makes quick release pins for their seats, but you can also buy them separately. I bought mine through azmotorsports.com, AKA Arizona motorsports group. They cost me about $23.00. I haven't received them yet, as I also have a custom Sargent seat on the way, so they will ship them when the seat is done.

I bought my quick release pins from the on-line McMaster-Carr catalog. I ordered them in Stainless 5/16" D. X 1" grip. I then drilled the sub frame with a 5/16" drill. I used stainless washers with rubber washers against the plastic. Looks good, I still have a place to hook a bungi, and its fast to remove. ;D

    Ok...just so I'm clear...i'm a little slow.
This is a quick release pin to remove the rear seat cowl?

I thought the kit from sergeant seat was to quick release the seat only?

I also have the sergeant seat...LOve it my ass never gets tired.

Pain is taking the rear cowl on off...I see no reason I can not put the pins in...

Only fear I have is you only get one chance to Drill holes...
Thanks guys for posting ever little bit helps....

I use it for my seat cowl, it replaces the Allen head fastners that normally hold the side cover and seat cowl. Here's the site I ordered from. Again I used the recessed pin, in stainless, size 5/16"D x 1" long or grip.

Ya, I saw that! I would love to do the minor upgrade but it will have to wait until I'm willing to pay $50 plus by the time you add S&H. Wow that's high!

    Hi...its http://www.sargentcycle.com/acfastaccess.htm

But...I was driving down the road yesterday saw a guy with the Ventura Bag set-up on a VFR.
    What good luck "Right" wrong...
I stopped him to ask how is the set-up.....just as I was looking at how it mount's.....
I may need the tapped holes! ....that I just drilled out for the quick pins.
Part of the bracket mounts in the hole.
I will get the bag Friday.....I will post the results .

But if you plan to drill the holes make sure you will not need them later!
