Since I’m the 3rd owner of my 04’ and the previous owner lost the rear grab handle covers. I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Since my new fairings are custom painted any color will do, ill have to paint them anyway. Any ideas guys? Preferably not from a stealership.

I wouldn't think they are expensive at al from a dealership. I would think 20 bucks or so off the top of my head. But are you removing the grab handles from your bike and putting the plates back on? If so, you need shorter bolts. and maybe a spacer, but I am not sure on the spacer. But the bolts holding those grab handles on are definitely longer than the bolts holding just the cowl in place.

I found the cover plates through my dealership. Around $15 IIRC. Even had the Pearl Spencer blue available

What’s the name and where is your dealership? The 2 closest to me only had 1 Italian red L and 1 mat black for $18.94 each! And thank you!

For the bolts I just took the ones that were on it from the top bag that was installed and tightened them down all the way. Should be enough room for the covers on top of them I think. If not I’ll just take them to ACE and buy shorter ones.

My bike didn’t come with the rear grab handles either. I bought a used set off eBay for $30. 1 had a little scar that I’m going to feather file it out if I use them, it probably won’t be very often.

I would think that even the bolts used to secure your top box are longer than you need to just secure the rear cowl. If you can find a Fisch somewhere on line with the parts blow up of the area and a parts list attached, this should show you the size of bolt you will need.

Also, for an 04, you should be able to order these panels from any Honda dealership readily. Andin most cases, they should arrive in a few days. Your bike covers up to the 2009 and even later I think in Australia and other countries.

You are looking for the plastic cover piece on the rear cowl when the grab rails are removed, right?

    Partsnerd has served me well.

Those plates are not even $10 each. The grab rails are like $90.

Plus shipping.. they had my seat cowl for the RWB also

My dealer is Dillon Brothers in Omaha but I think they just order from some distribution place. I've ordered many Honda parts from them and they have been close in price with online fiches minus shipping cost.

Your dealer should be able to get them. If not maybe someone could order and send them to you for far less money than your dealer wants

I was up north of Spokane getting my hair cut and a Brand New Honda dealership just happened to be on my way home! $23 and I got the blue ones from the 07’ RWB to match my new fairings. Thanks for all your help. My bike gets shipped home in 8 days! Super excited to get started putting on all the parts I’ve ordered over the past 4 months.
