Well im just enjoying me bike so much. Went through one rear tire. I took care of the front fork seals. Charging issues. And so many other things.
    Now... REAR SHOCK!
I need to replace this maybe 25 year old shock. It feels ok, but im left to wounder just how much better a not so aged shock would feel!
$$$ is very tight. I have a GSXR shock thats to short.
what other "cost effective" options do I have to look at?

Check with Jamie at Daugherty Motorsports. He builds and services shocks on the VFR's. I have one of his upgraded CBR929 rear shocks on my 2000 VFR800 and the difference is amazing. Maybe send Jamie a quick email and see what kind of options he may have for your bike. Jamie is a member here and has helped out a fair number of people on both this site and VFRD and should certainly be able to help you sort out your suspension.

Here is a link to his webpage for quick reference and his email address.

Shocks go bad with accumulated miles, not years.
