    Hello Everyone,

I was hoping for a little advice. I recently bought a RR online that i think people use to upgrade from stock.

I have a 99 VFR. The new RR (part number SH579C-12) is for a CBR1100XX Blackbird I believe.

The connectors on the two are not interchangable, and I was hoping for some help finding wiring diagrams. The new one has an extra black wire.

Any and all advice/ leads would be much appreciated. I'm sure this has been discussed many times before.

    Thank you much!

    RR swap

Thanks Ghost! I really appreciate it. Any ideas where i can find the pin-out diagram for the new one?

I'd feel more comfy if i could find it. Cheers, and thanks again.

all R/R's are esentially wired the same.

3 wires (usually yellow) to the stator...

2 wires (usually red and red with a stripe) one goes to ignition and the other to the battery.

2 wires (usually green and green with a stripe) both go to a ground... no brainer there

    (occasionally)

1 wire (usually black) goes to a neutral or common wire back to the wire harness

Sorry no, I am not aware of specific R/R wiring diagrams, yet im sure if you contact the maker, you should be able to get one.
