    Hey Guys:

Created a bit of a problem for myself- I was putting on the rear cowl and accidentally applied to much pressure to the front upper pan screw (5 x 20) and pushed the cowl setting nut (the rubber part with threaded insert) into the frame. Well I figured out how to get it out of frame tube, but when I tried to press it back in with lock-jaw pliers between the nut and frame, it ripped into two pieces so now it's ruined.

Going to order a new one tomorrow, but thought I would ask for advice on how to get the new one in without ruining it too?

It has a rather thick "o-ring" section that has to fit through the smaller hole in the frame, so it's a very tight fit- it needs to be so it doesn't pull through when the pan screw is tightened down.

Anyone with experience in this area?
