removing middle fairing panels

    thought that I would remove them to polish up the fairing bolts that hold the belly pan on,what a pain in the arse,took a while but at least I am glad to say that the exhaust system that I could see looks to be in great condition,also removed the crosshead screws to polish up,hope it goes back together ok with any tabs breaking,first job I have done on this bike since buying it 7 months ago

    Yea they are a slight puzzle to figure, but once you know it's pretty straight forward. I'm actually preferring the 4th to the 5th in this regards. Duz fasteners are pretty cool, these screw things on the 5th are IMO cheap ass alternative that really don't work that great.

    mine is a fourth gen bike but the quick fasteners are not Dzus but crossheads that have a quarter turn anti clock wise to remove
