Is there a detailed how-to for replacing fork springs in the 5th Gen VFR anywhere? Need to know what has to come out of the fork, what oil to use, etc. Just got new springs from Jamie Daugherty and they came with a long piece of PVC, no idea what that is for either.

If it helps, I'm 240lb with no gear, and the springs are 1.0kg RaceTechs.

    Thanks in advance!

the pvc is for the spacers needed to replace the orig. spacers that are sized for the original springs.
are you going to renew the seals or revalve the cartridges? might as well at least do the seals.
oil - you can use a mix of two oil weights to get 7.5wt. You can buy the oil at any bike shop.
remove the forks and carefully disassemble.
