I'm trying to replace my Stator on my VF500. I'm having a terrible time getting the Rotor off. I've been to every auto parts store in town, and none of them have any clue what I'm talking about.

I got a kit Like This from O'Reilly's, but that does no good because the rotor on this bike goes on the outside of the stator, so there are no points for the screws to connect to the rotor.

What I need is something Like This, The problem is I have no clue where to get one locally, or what size I need.

Anyone have another way to get this bad boy out without damaging anything, or where I can find a part like this?

Also, the part number listed for the puller in clymer's seems to be discontinued, as I can't find it anywhere.

Just wanted to bump for people who may be looking for this info in the future.

After much trial and error, I found the right size, not an easy one to get!

It is a M20 x 1.5 pitch thread puller. Basically if you can find a bolt with that pitch, that is all you need, I found the puller for $9 on ebay, no where in my town had a bolt that size, so if you are planning on changing your stator, i'd order it before hand!

On another forum (Nighthawks) I was told by many folks that the rear axle threads are an exact match for the charging rotor threads on most Hondas. So if ya have a spare axle around (who doesn't?) then you are good to go!

Dunno if this will be of any help at all but here's a pic of the factory Honda M18 x 1.5 rotor puller tool that I used to use on my old 1980 CB750F.
