I'm doing a 7 day ride in Alaska during August, planning 1800 miles, about a third on dirt. Renting a V-Strom in Anchorage and doing a big loop with a leg above the Arctic Circle if the weather cooperates. Any advice appreciated. Particular concerns about reasonable mileage daily possible on dirt, liklihood of flats on rough roads with dual sport tires, weather/rain, places to visit. Thanks alot.
