The rope saddlebag stays have unravelled with minimal use. They are now useless. Has anyone on here fixed this issue...wire rope maybe?
Thanks in advance for your response.

I replaced mine with mini bungees in pairs (4 for each bag) Just bent the hooks around the tabs to keep them in place. Works pretty good so far, plus they open wider now.

1/32 wire rope and cinch clamps work well on one bag. will test and see if a better solution exists.

Twisted throttle sell replacements. Look for givi z115. They are $2.70 a pair. I used them on my oem cases. If the cases dont open wide enough, just move one or both of the buttons the straps mount on to, they are only attached by self tapping screws. At less than $3 a pair you could buy spares and leave some in with your tool kit in case they break when you are on tour
    Be safe

I used black 325 parachute cord ($2) from an arts and crafts store to create new stays. I used superglue to keep the knots from untying and also on the cut ends to keep them from fraying. It would have been much easier just to get replacements from GIVI.

To keep the remaining OEM stays from unraveling, try applying superglue to where the stay loops back on to itself.
