When I bought my 2000 VFR it came with a bunch of extras. The original owner must have had a healthy budget for accessories, because it came with a Corbin saddle, Corbin Beetlebags, a Sargent 2 piece saddle, and a Sargent passenger backrest.

Today I took the bike out for the first time with a passenger. I took off my rear cowl, installed the backrest, and installed the passenger seat. My lady reported that she was very comfy after the ride, but I realized that I am missing any sort of a real grab handle.

I am going to try to find / fabricate some kind of grab handles that fit the look of the backrest and will allow a passenger to place their hands directly beside their seat. I think that will be more comfortable than reaching back to grab a rear portion of the backrest.

Any suggestions, or perhaps someone who has done something similar? In the meantime, enjoy a picture of my VFR all loaded out.
