So today was the second nice day since I owned the bike, so I took it over to my motorcycle fanatic of a buddies house and he took a look at it and then we went for a ride, he apparently needed to charge up his R1, so we went for a nice ride, and a few times I got to open the bike up and it is a totally different animal. When I brought it home from New Jersey I kept it under 5K, and today on the twisties out near me I let her rip up to the rev limiter a few times and wow the sound is amazing above 7K, I spent the second half of the ride around that point on the tach and it made the bike so much more fun and much more controllable and predicable.

Unlike your buddy's R1, the VFR power is much more controllable. I think the power output is more than enough for the average person (like myself). I'm glad to hear you're liking your new ride.
