Is it possible to remove the shock on a 6th gen from the left side of the bike (i.e., without removing the exhaust)? The manual says to remove the exhaust but I wanted to see if someone had come up with a "work around" where I don't have to fight the exhaust.

    YES!

You need to jack up the swingarm to gain the necessary clearance between it and the catcon. Remove the wheel, triangulation plate, and dogbone also.
