I'm looking at a very low miles 2007 RWB Anniversary Edition as my first VFR. I anticipate it'll need tires as I expect it's still wearing the original rubber, and I know I'll want to investigate the rectifier/regulator unit from all the discussions here about that issue. Are there other signs or problems I should look for the I inspect the bike before making an offer?

First good luck on the bike.
Bring a friend that’s a motorcyclist to help go over the bike with you.
    Maintenance records?
    How old is the battery?
Check to see if all panels line up properly? First sign of a tip over or crash
    Fluids ever flushed?
    Seat cowl.
    And upgrading the RR call
    Roadstercycle if needed

You might not want a very low miles bike from 10 years ago. Feel the seller out. Is it a guy with a back problem that hasn’t rode the thing in 8 years?

You want to buy it from a rider that actually uses it. Don’t focus so much on how low mileage it is.

Thanks to you both for your guidance. Bike appears not to have been unused, just used very little on local rides. Owner has had it since 2010, and has changed oil, replaced battery. Aftermarket exhaust and Corbin seat, but includes original exhaust and seat w cowl. Original front tire (DOT code shows 2006 date) and newer (2010) rear tire. I'll replace both due to age. I'll check rectifier and regulator connections for heat problems, will likely use roadster cycle unit for replacement.

I'm looking forward to getting it sorted and getting it out for a ride.
