Should the LCD on a Gen 5 be backlit?

    Should the Temp/Fuel/Odom LCD gauge be backlit? Mine is not and makes seeing my fuel at night impossible. Thanks in advance.

    Yes for that matter the entire dashboard (tach, speedo, gas, temp, etc..) all are backlit and if you can't see the fuel guage something is wrong.

    The tach and speedo are backlit not the LCD cluster. I imagine this does not use a bulb for a backlight but rather some LEDs or such soldered to the board. Does anyone know? Thanks for the response Joey.

    Allthough they don't have a listing for your bike, I'm sure they could repair it. I'm planning on sending my cluster to them this winter for the color mod
