Well, I've sold my VFR and bought this instead: Having had major shoulder stabilisation surgery, I really needed to be more upright with my ride and this is much better for me. My VFR has gone to a new owner who seems like a nice guy and I'm sure he'll look after her well.
yep, some sort of push-rod warrior motor in an interesting chassis. Those euro-people get all the exciting stuff...Enjoy your new ride, its beautiful...I will never sell my viffer, it would be sacriligous ; )
Yamaha MT-01 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia They were never sold in the US but Canadians could get them for a while. Not a powerful bike but they are extremely comfortable and the 1700cc motor (a retuned Warrior engine) makes 150nm of torque at 3750rpm, so it is stupendously easy to ride. Brakes and suspension are shared with the R1. It tops out at about 220km/h but that's enough for me.
Well we hate to loose a member but hey as long as you are still riding something (or someone heheheh) then all is well in the world. That is a really unusual steed for sure. I looked at it and the first thing that I thought was Buell but the tank is Yamaha ish and it is chain drive. What a combination! It does look like the ergos are good. Let us know how she works out.
I likey-thanks, sounds good. Is there a big after market parts list ? Enjoy, think you should have a license plate that reads Beast-----its perfect
That is a pretty badass mochine you got yourself there. My first thought was V-Max too. Guy on the track is barely on the throttle and smokin people!!
Well, I had a bit of spray work done and also got rid of the stock mirrors, since they were utterly useless. Also mounted a Stebel horn.
Looks great..whats that beast weigh? Can ya do a gopro romp for us ? I take it ya like orange....enjoy and thanks fer sharin
About 260kg but it's so well balanced that I haven't really noticed the increase from the VFR. It's very stable, too. It goes around corners better than my VFR ever did! Ha!
