Okay had this great outing a couple days back and found myself in a zone of sorts where the air was right the weather was right and next to no traffic. once on the freeway so I'm getting on the freeway via an on ramp Doh! and find myself in this zone doing a 100 plus is okay, look over my shoulder no one there and figure everything is going just fine, I'll stay at this speed, felt good and right so for the nest 10+ miles I hold 7000 rpms at what is showing to be an indicated 100mph. How's yours compare? Oh BTW, I have stock gearing. I also noticed that in 3rd at around 3300 rpms holding steady, seems to be around 30 mph, she sure has a mean gallop going on. Damn I like my bike.

Older ride, but that sounds about right; I've recently altered my gearing but haven't been near a "ton" since doing so.

I don't know the rpm at 100 but indicated 80 mph is close to 5500 if I remember correctly. That's a 98 with stock gearing.
