Hi to all, I got a used 2003 VFR couple of days ago in mint condition (with only 23000km on the clocks). The bike is great and I love it. Also, this forum is a great help, as I have problems with speedo I searched and checked a couple of things... Anyhow, these are my speedo symptoms...while bike is cool and speeds are low the speedo works OK, when bike gets worm, more or less at low speeds and rpms, speedo also works OK...when rpms get higher (around and over 7000 vtec mark) speedo starts to bounce from -30km/h to +30km/h from actual speed...and even wierder when I engage the clutch while going fast sometimes it messures the speed correctly and sometimes, when bike is really hot, it drops to 0km/h and reacts to throttle like showing the rpms (while holding the clutch I twist the throttle and get a readout at speedo from 0km/h to 100km/h)... I checked the voltage on battery while running trough the whole rpm range it stays 14.5V (I guess this means my r/r is OK), I checked 30A fuse - it's OK, I checked blue connector - no burn signs and green ground wire looks OK on both sides and I checked TDK sensor on front sprocket, the plastic part is in great condition and I rotated it with my drill it worked OK. As this bike wasn't driven a lot I suspect my battery is bad as the voltage messured on it is just around and below 12.5V. I hope this is the case as the only other thing that could be wrong is some part of the electronics inside the clocks... Anyhow, I'll change the battery soon and let you know what happens, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject? Thanks! PS: also, I didn't get the owners manual so could anyone tell me what is the purpose of the button located right beside the rpm gauge (not the select or reset buttons, the higher, thiner, round one in between the other two buttons on the clocks)... PSS: I posted the same on VFRD but didn't get a reply yet
