I am going to do a valve adjust on my 96 viffer and have a Stage 1 Dyno Jet kit I've kicked around installing ~ I'm not fond of drilling slides butt have seen another kit for sale that claims there is no reason to drill the slides w/ application of their jets and springs.

    Any info greatly appreciated.

Follow kit instructions. If it says drill, drill. You can always use JBWeld* to fill holes later if you don't want them.

Installing a kit (and adjusting mixture screws) cured a surging problem at low speeds/part throttle on my '97.
