stator gasket hard to get

    For everyone who hasn't yet experienced their VFR charging system going haywire, you might want to order a stator gasket now...I replaced my stator and R/R unit last week and both dealerships I called said stator gaskets were "unavailable...on intergalactic back order". Yamabond bailed me out for the time being while I wait.

    You can always use gasket sealer, like the Yamabond that you used, or use the Permatex brand, (the black will work for that particular application). I just replaced a stator cover on an 06 CBR600RR for a riding buddy and thats what we used on his. Sealed it up good. :smile:
