    Whether you are for, or against, road safety advertising campaigns - personally anything which breaks drivers out of their auto-pilot commuting trance and gets them to focus and be aware of other vehicles cannot hurt and just might save your life!

    In the UK they tend to go for simple messages like this:

    I tend to think a few cheap, but well placed posters stuck on the back of buses and public vehicles, probably reach the target audience - auto-pilot commuters - far better than expensive videos - which may work fine with cinema audiences, but when shown on TV many people simply change channels and are long forgotten by the time they get behind the wheel again.

    The big downside of our iEverything world is it seems matched with more and more distracted drivers out on the street doing totally stupid things whilst in charge of a lethal weapon?
