Bike: 1986 honda vf 500 interceptor. Condition: critical. Laid down. Forks tweaked, tank dented, handle bar bent, mirrors gone, turn signal broken. lower fairing cracked and worn through. Most likely to be added on to once i get in to it. Goal: Give this a bike a new run on life. Progress: Upper and lower fairing removed. battery charged. engine works. add fuel. find out find out the petcock leaks remove fuel. fix leak. add fuel again.engine cranks. engine starts and run perfect no knocks ticks bangs explosions. exam electrical componets while runing. no dash lights. find fuses box. replace blown fuses. rexamin electrical system all good. move on to the fairng stay bracket. try to bend it back in place. fail . order new fair stay bracket. adjust triple tree, forks, and front wheel. join vfr world to get help from other owners. to be continued. I will probably get some pictures on tommaro.
