Finally after 14 years in dry storage we got the VF1000F back on Friday to my dads place. I'll not be back to inspect it until Tuesday but the project is well and truly on. We came off on the way back from Joey Dunlops funeral and because I was riding pillion it annoyed him that much he just left it in the shop to die. However I'd been chipping away buying parts over the years from the States and his brother went and seen the guy and sure enough the parts we got to him have it rolling at least. Got a NOS left can for it today, need a right and apparently the rear swinging arm looks toast. It'll be a project but a 1985 VF with only 17,000 on the clock, sure you can't walk away from it!
