I have two mid 80's VFR's, I had heard about the CAM issue with these bikes, I had found a web site (HOLESHOT Performance) that carried the top end oiling kit, I went out there today to the web site and seems to be down, I then looked up their phone number and the number has been disconnected, does anyone know where I can find a top end oiling kit for a 84 VF1000F and a 86 VF1000R? Thanks for the help,

Jamie Daugherty used to offer them, but I believe he has discontinued them. You can still check with him though. Here is the link to his website:

Daugherty Motorsports - Motorcycle Suspension Performance and Modification

I put one on my VF500 a few years back, but that company too has gone out of business. It might be hard to find. Also, I know many will argue about what bikes are affected, but I think the 1000R was not on the list.

I just looked and HOLESHOT website is running. Appears they have moved . Try Holeshot Performance Products, Inc. again. I have a 1984 VF1000R, and yes, they do need an oil kit. I purchased mine of Holeshot some years ago. Still in slow re-build mode though. Friend of mine in Sydney put one on and is happy with the results. He copied my kit, actually.
