So I just picked up a 2002 VFR. I noticed the PO had the shock tubes pushing up about 2 inches through the top end which lowered the front end. I decided to put the bike back to the stock position by moving the shock tubes back to factory settings. I had to loosen the 14mm bolts on the lower triple tree and the 4 12mm pinch bolts on the top.

Can anyone provide me with the correct torque settings? Thanks!

    Pete

Top bolts are 17 ft./lbs. bottom bolts are 36 ft./lbs. and clip ons are 20 ft./lbs. Depending on which manual, however, fork height above the top triple tree is either 39mm or 41mm. That is to the top of the fork tube not the top of the preload adjuster.
