I have seen the thread about the dual undertail exhaust..
But has anyone tried to do a single undertail (similar to the CBR?)

There's a recently updated thread that had a source for the up pipe. Then you could get your hands on any slip-on. Will try to find the thread...

    Profiles are still broken

here's the thread I was thinking. Not sure if it'll help or not as the example seems to be for high mount side exhaust.

Anyway, appears Hindle lists their midpipes as a separate item. So maybe you can source a 6gen midpipe for undertail and any can. Or just go to a performance exhaust shop and get any pipe you need custom bent to meet your needs.

    Bend wise or clearance wise?
I have no problem ripping out the old plastic undertail crap and trying to fab something up.

Right now I am trying to source the Hindle high mount from a local vendor. (steet & comp).
Has anyone used the Hindle pipe and routed it to work with an undertail?

What do you guys think of $383 for a NIB high mount mid pipe and 16" carbon fiber exhaust?

I really don't see what the big problem is here for a mid pipe. A good muffler shop with a mandrel pipe bender and a guy who knows what he's doing should be able to custom bend one. Then expand the ends to slip on at the collector and muffler.

Wish someone around me had a 5th gen to use to make one. With the right mandrels the pipe could even be made oval where it runs along the underside if needed. Would there be enough call to start making them?

I could even ceramic coat them to look cool. I've done that with a set of headers. Plus the pipe could be polished if wanted.

IDK how much you want to invents ($$$ and time) into.. but there would probably be a handful of folks that would love to get there hands on an undertail option.

Although, I am a cheap "bassterd" thus it would have to be fairly priced for me to invest.

There is probably enough interest for a limited run, but the 5g bikes are slowly disappearing. The 6th gen already had undertail and way outsold the 5g especially consdering it ran for 14000 years with the same design... At one time I was very interested in it, but now I kind of like the reverse cone gp style exit. (at least that's what I think it's called.) You know a shorter exhaust coming out down low like on maybe it's Toro's bike?

There is a F1 exhaust fabricator in Ohio who made the undertail exhaust for my 5th gen. He made the up pipe, undertray and the license plate holder. I used a set of Laser Xtreme stainless cans (2) and I really like the look and sound. His name is Dan and he has a website for his work. He can make any undertail up pipe for all three types of OEM and aftermarket headers (TBR/Erion).
